The show is over, you so enjoyed it and are wondering, “how can I be involved with this wonderful group.” The answer is: You can become a volunteer!
Volunteers make it possible for us to do everything we do. They are active behind the scenes and out in front during the annual show, year-round concerts, special events, SingOUT!s, auditions, classes and workshops. They may be needed in the rehearsal room or in front of a computer screen, lending talent, expertise and occasionally for those who can … a little brawn.
When You Join Our A&K Family as a Volunteer, We Will Match You with Rewarding and Fun Ways to Be Involved
While tasks may vary from event to event, typical volunteer jobs include: helping to set up events, assisting guests, stuffing programs, helping artistic and administrative staff, documenting events with candid photos and audience counts, data entry, etc.
When events are scheduled and new needs announced, volunteers are notified by email and they can sign up if they are available.
More Information and Opportunities
- All walks of life are welcome.
- No special skills are required but if you have expertise to share, or any special interests, let us know.
- We also welcome guest musicians and performers who sometimes join us in leading our SingOUT!’s.
- Most important, all volunteers must share a passion for what we do and honor the reason for which Alive & Kickin exists: to Give Voice to Seniors and break the stereotype image of “old age.”
