My journey is a blend of hard work, service and a lifelong love of music and community.
I grew up in Rising Sun, Iowa (yes, there really is such a place) where I attended a one-room schoolhouse until 6th grade. I started singing in church and high school choirs before taking my love of music on the road and performing across the Midwest with the Soul Vibrations Band. After serving in the U.S. Army and later working for the Federal Aviation Administration, I found a new way to share my passion for music. At my small Iowa winery, I started Sunday Tunes, inviting local bands to perform and becoming the first winery in the state to host live music. I’ve been a singer all my life but these old rock songs and old rockers make me boogie like I’m still a kid. Thanks, A&K!
FUN FACT: I owned a shop called the Harley Hoedown and built custom choppers for folks.
