I have always loved to sing.
However, the more practical and sometimes altruistic side of me usually prevailed: marketing research, teaching, school psychologist and more recently (until retirement), human services with the state of Minnesota.
At 48, I achieved the dream of having a child; I have a daughter and three young grandchildren.
When I have the opportunity, I choose songs that express my feelings. I also participate in helping others through song including a sing-along with people in the memory care unit at Sholom Home in St Paul. And the most fun and fulfilling—the joy of singing rock and roll with Alive & Kickin while demonstrating that older adults can still be vibrant and mentally sharp.
FUN FACT: I don’t drink alcohol or like cheese, but I’ll challenge anyone to drink Rose’s lime juice that’s used in mixed drinks.
