My experience includes high school choir as well as singing along to the radio anytime/anywhere! I sang to my 3 sons, and to the special needs preschool children I worked with.
In 2012 my beloved husband was diagnosed with glioblastoma, and I stopped singing. Two years later in 2014 he lost his battle at age 55. It took years for me to want to just sing around the house again. I am fortunate to have remarried a wonderful man 2 years ago. He had lost his wife as well in 2014.
My new name is Nana, as I just welcomed my first granddaughter one month ago! Today I am honored and thrilled to be a part of Alive & Kickin to share my love of singing and bring joy to others.
FUN FACT: As a 4-year-old I would rock in my rocking chair and sing as loud as I could for the joy of it. One morning our milkman heard me and came in and listened. I was so embarrassed.
