It all started when I saw the A&K Flashback show. I was blown away! I cried, I laughed, and I felt so full of joy. I went right out at intermission and asked what I needed to do to be a part of this group. I am a retired school counselor. No singing in that job, just lots of adolescent emoting. I auditioned… they said YES! It is a lot of hard work and some days my brain feels like it will explode. But I am delighting in all that it means to be a part of this wonderful A&K family!
FUN FACT: My daughter and I wrote and published a picture book for children of MN soldiers going to serve overseas. The title, A Very Long Time, came from my granddaughter who told her daycare kids that her dad was gone for a very long time.
