I started singing in choir in second grade and continued all the way through my second year of college at Gustavus Adolphus, from which I graduated. I loved choir, madrigals, pop choir, singing in shows and singing solos. Side bar: I was the first dance major at Gustavus!
For some reason, I got it into my head that I really couldn’t sing. And after 40 years of believing that, I decided to change my thoughts. I had owned a dance studio for 20 years and recently retired and I realized that I missed singing!
Auditioning for A&K is the best decision I have made in years! I absolutely love the people, the process and, of course, the singing!
FUN FACT: I was a flight attendant for Pan Am in my 20’s and lived in New York. On my very first trip I was assigned to Paris! What a wonderful time in my life, living in New York and being able to travel the world.
