John Klinkenberg

John Klinkenberg serves as Chief Operating Officer of Minnesota Sports & Events (MNSE), a role he has held since 2023. He oversees the organization’s internal operations, financial management, compliance, and enterprise-wide risk strategy, ensuring MNSE operates with strong governance, fiscal discipline, and operational excellence in delivering world-class events. John began his career in insurance and risk management, developing extensive expertise in complex liability planning, contract negotiation, and large-scale event risk mitigation. He has successfully applied that background to the sports and events industry, leading and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies for some of the nation’s most high-profile events.

His experience includes Super Bowl LII and subsequent Super Bowls, the 2019 NCAA Men’s Final Four, the 2017 and 2018 NBA All-Star Games, the 2022 NCAA Women’s Final Four, and the 2023 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, among others.

In addition to his professional leadership, John serves on multiple community boards, contributing his financial and governance expertise to support nonprofit and civic organization.

Cheri Martin

Cheri is the Community Administrator at Monroe Village Senior Apartments. This property is owned and managed by Volunteers of America MN/WI. In her current role, she is responsible for building operations and improving the lives of seniors who make Monroe Village their home. 

Previously, Cheri’s background included regional sales or corporate management positions with HealthPartners, Medtronics, Barnes & Noble, Christopher & Banks, and Target Center.

Cheri became an A & K Cast member in September 2022. In January 2025, she was invited and joined the Board of Directors. This newly created position offers a unique perspective by enhancing communication between the Cast and the Board.

Andrew Bourgoin

Andrew Bourgoin

Director

Andrew is the CEO | Lead Producer of Bourgoin Productions, a company specializing in event services and developing sustainable experiences. He has a long history of managing and directing large creative projects for clients in both the corporate (e.g. Johnson & Johnson) and non-profit (e.g. Hennepin Arts) spaces.

As an awarded pianist, conductor, and music director, Andrew’s work has been seen in over 75 theatrical productions from The Ordway to Broadway (Aladdin, Mean Girls). He is a frequent artistic collaborator with Tony Award Winner Santino Fontana, and they can often be found sharing their passion and knowledge of show-business with the next generation of artists.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Music from St. Olaf College, Certificate in Contract Law from HarvardX, and is a member of both the Project Management Institute and American Federation of Musicians. He is most importantly a member of the Michael Matthew Ferrell | Alive & Kickin’ fan club.

Daniel Seeman

Dan is the Vice President/Region Manager Minnesota for Hubbard Radio in Minneapolis Saint Paul. Dan oversees KS95, myTalk 107.1, SKOR North and Hubbard Interactive in Minneapolis-St. Paul and 16 additional radio stations in Alexandria, Brainerd, Bemidji and Wadena.

A 37 year veteran of Minneapolis-Saint Paul radio, Dan’s first job was as an intern for WLOL 991/2, the #1 CHR in Minneapolis Saint Paul in the 1980’s.  Since then Dan has worked in radio promotion, marketing, sales and management, and for the last 23 years has been a General Manager for radio stations that include KFAN, K102, Cities 97, KMJZ, KOOL 108 and KDWB.  

Dan has been recognized as one of Radio Ink’s Best Managers in Radio, a TCB 100 People to Know and a finalist for an NAB Marconi Award for Legendary Manager of the Year.

Dan is busy in the community serving on numerous boards and committees, including Children’s Cancer Research Fund, Pavek Museum of Broadcasting, Courage Kenny and Alive & Kickin’.  

Dan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, married to Cyndy and has two daughters, Clare and Hannah.

Jan is the Vice President of Programs for The Wasie Foundation. She has worked in the health & nonprofit sector for more than 40 years, primarily in program administration and management. While she has worked in philanthropy for more than 18 years, she worked in various public charities in the health sector for more than 20 years, and is a past president of the Association of Health Care Educators of the Midwest. She is currently a member of Exponent Philanthropy, The Philanthropy Roundtable, and the Alliance for Charitable Reform. Jan has been involved with Alive & Kickin since the first year of operation and has a genuine appreciation of seniors and a passion for all arts, but particularly music. She believes the arts greatly impact health and quality of life and is honored to be associated with A & K!

Heidi Weiler

Heidi Weiler

Treasurer

Heidi is Vice President, Corporate Financial Strategy and Treasurer at H.B. Fuller Company, and has a long history of providing strategic consulting services with an emphasis in areas including Global Tax & Treasury, Structured Finance, Supply Chain Analysis and Mergers & Acquisitions.  Prior to joining H.B. Fuller, Heidi serviced companies including St. Jude Medical, Värde Partners, Lawson Software, and was an International Consulting Partner at Deloitte, a Big Four Global Accounting Firm. 

Heidi has been an avid fan of Alive & Kickin since the organization’s inception and recently joined the Board as Treasurer.  She also is a board member and serves on the finance committee for Voyageur Outward Bound School. 

Heidi has a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Business, is married to Dave and has two sons, Kyle and Andrew.
