As a child I called to the loons at our lake cabin in a beautiful soprano voice. But when puberty hit, my voice dropped to a deep bass. This helped in High School Theater, when covered in green grease paint; I became a very scary, singing Rumpelstiltskin. After a long break, I returned to singing at Edina High School as one of the dads in the Men’s Chorus, singing along with the students. I found out about Alive & Kickin, quite by accident, when I belted out “Happy Birthday” to David Ponthan. I love the enthusiasm, here, and the music! I can’t wait to return to the cabin this summer and hear whether the loons like Bon Jovi.
