GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Transparent, High Integrity Leadership & Administration of the Organization
• Provide effective administration of operations
• Manage staff and develop a formal review process for measuring success & accountability
• Set clear expectations, and develop policies and procedures for personnel/operations matters
• Work closely with the board to ensure strong fiscal health and effective governance
• Maintain superior fiscal oversight of budget and finances
• Be an assuring, visible presence with the cast members and in the community
• Build community among cast members and foster a sense of accomplishment
• Keep the board of directors informed on all tactical and strategic matters
• Work collaboratively with board and staff to further enhance a vision for the future
• Refine and execute the organizational strategic plan
• Oversee meetings of the board, staff, and committees of the organization
• Manage contracts for services, legal requirements, & other professional matters
• Serve as the primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, media, and the public
Diversify Revenue Streams & Increase Revenues
• In conjunction with the board of directors, develop & implement a corporate giving program
• Enhance existing individual donor base
• Work with team and external grant writing consultant to grow grant revenue
• Lead annual gala event, providing vision, and collaborating with team in planning
• Increase ticket sales
• Increase awareness and visibility of Alive & Kickin to acquire new funders
Provide Artistic Input
• Collaborate and consult with the Artistic Director for artistic needs throughout the season
• Provide support as needed for the artistic season and production
• Use knowledge of audience development and the performing arts
community/venues/professional connections to foster growth and awareness of Alive & Kickin
• Identify resources and offer strategies to help diversify the cast/staff/board of Alive & Kickin
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven track record of non-profit management of at least three years, preferably leading a
performing arts organization
• Proven organizational abilities to include planning, delegating, program development and task
facilitation
• Hands-on experience with budget preparation and management
• Demonstrate sound understanding of financial statements and generate financial forecasts
• Proven track record of fundraising success
• Experience and familiarity with performing arts organizations
• Strong oral and written communication skills/public speaking experience
• Ability to engage with diverse volunteer, donor, and potential donor groups & individuals
• Possess an appreciation for the senior population
COMPENSATION:
• Full time position with a salary range of $70,000 – $90,000 depending on qualifications and
experience.
