Michael Matthew Ferrell: Executive/Artistic Director and Founder
Michael is a three-time Ivey Award winner and recently received the AARP 50 over 50 Distrutor Award. He was also named 2015 & 2010 Choreographer of the Year by Lavender Magazine and also won the WCCO Making A Difference Award for his work with A&K.

He has staged many corporate events with clients including Target Corporation and American Payroll Association .
He has also taught and worked at several academic schools including U of M ,UMD,Gus Davis Academy, St Olaf College, Eastview, Hill Murray, Minnetonka and Spooner WI .
Jason James Hansen : Musical/Associate Director and Arranger
Jason Hansen is a musician in the Twin Cities with a reputation for his work in the theater. In addition to directing and arranging music for Alive & Kickin, Jason has held positions of music director, composer, orchestrator, educator, and/or performer at the Children’s Theater Company, Theater Latté Da, Mixed Blood Theater, Guthrie Theater, Ten Thousand Things, History Theater, Theater Mu, Illusion Theater, TigerLion Arts, 7th House Theater, Open Eye Figure Theater, FLiP! Theater Company, University of Minnesota, UofM Centennial Showboat, MN Fringe Festival, and the Hennepin Theater Trust’s Spotlight Showcase. His diverse stylistic abilities have paired him with widely varied productions from rock-based “Next To Normal” to the classically-rooted “Into the Woods” and traditional styles including folk music-inspired productions. He has helped direct and create several world premiers and has provided orchestrations for new works in the Twin Cities. Jason won the 2007 Century Council Sound Design Award and is the male winner of the 2016 South Suburban Conference Achievement Award for Fine Arts. He is a resident composer of the Catalyst Theater Company and he is heavily involved with educational and community organizations including the St. Paul Conservatory for the Performing Arts, Easter Lutheran Church, Eagan Community Theater, and Twin Cities area school districts. Jason is a commissioned composer and arranger developing new music for choir, cabaret and theater whose works can be found with both Hal Leonard and Alfred Music. Lisa Dahlmeier : Managing Director
Lisa Dahlmeier oversees our operations, finance and marketing for the organization. She comes to Alive and Kickin with a background in Finance and Marketing paired with an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for the Performing Arts. With a Masters in Business Administration combined with decades working with corporations both large and small, Lisa brings a unique balance of business expertise combined with creativity. Lisa is thrilled to be working with the Alive & Kickin Rockin Cast as they remind her of her own beloved Grandmother, Audrey, who was a shining example of living every day to its fullest and crashing through every stereotype there is about aging. Lisa would like to model her life after her Grandmother’s, living each day with purpose and always moving forward.
Jeffery Carl Nelson : Production Manager
Krysti Phillips : Program and Events Manager
What do you get when you cross a Dancer with a background in Engineering Chemistry? Easy, a critical thinker who can easily process the creative side of a performing arts business while simultaneously interpreting the creative methods and processes to those around her. As the Program and Events Manager at Alive & Kickin, Krysti brings a plethora of experience that intertwines her background in dance and theater with her expertise in creating processes and execution. Krysti is a quick thinker with an eye for detail and an incredible mind for the retention of information. Krysti was raised with these wise words from her Father, “Find a place you love and you will be dedicated to it. Find what you love and make a career out of it.” Krysti has truly found her home with Alive & Kickin.
